Why we publish the full list

Education agents are usually free to you because the university pays them a commission — typically 10–25% of your first-year tuition. That is legal and common, but it has a consequence worth understanding: a university that pays no commission may simply never be mentioned to you. This list is complete and nobody paid to be on it. If a consultant's shortlist leaves one of these out, you are entitled to ask why.

Group of EightGo8

A coalition of Australia's 8 research-intensive universities. They are typically the most competitive for international admission and ask for the strongest academic and English results — but "most competitive" is not the same as "best for you". Course fit, location and cost often matter more.
